Long Range Goals.
- Commission the
creation of a custom
mural depicting commercial and general aviation history, particularly
California
State aviation, from an early flying boat flight to Catalina Island to
the Space Shuttle.
- Establish the
Airman's Hall of Fame,
a place to commemorate the career of the professional airman. Families
can proudly display a loved one's uniform wings, years of airline
service,
and the company served. We seek an affiliation with the Airline
Pilots Association (ALPA), retirement, alumni, and other professional organizations.
- Build a permanent
home for Airliners
of America, in the form of a replica 1950's airline terminal, complete
with observation deck, soda fountain, ceiling fans, etc.
- Rescue a "Big Doug" (Douglas DC-4, DC-6, or DC-7) from the scrapper's torch and restore it in Western Air Lines colors.
